Between 1999-2002 Richard was a designer at Bloomsbury Publishing and part of the team working on book covers and marketing for the Harry Potter series. He was given a design credit on the back of the original hardback edition of the fourth book, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, which at the time of publication was the fastest selling book in history.
He also designed and illustrated the original covers for two 'rediscovered' classics from Hogwarts library, Fantastic Beasts
and Where to Find Them and Quidditch Through the Ages. The books went on to raise over £17m for Comic Relief.
